The construction of the plant itself began in 2007, the volume of investments in the enterprise reached $200,000,000. About 750 people work at the LLC Nissan Motor RUS enterprise.
In 2009, a test assembly of cars was started at the new plant, and soon the grand opening of this enterprise took place, with a production capacity of up to 50,000 cars per year. At the beginning of production, the plant produced two brands of cars - Nissan Teana and Nissan X-Trail. In 2012, the production of the Nissan Murano model was opened. In 2012, a test production was also launched, and then mass production of a new Nissan Almera car at the AvtoVAZ plant located in Togliatti.
