In 2002, Nissan Motor Co., Ltd. and Dongfeng Motor Corporation signed a strategic partnership agreement in China. Each party will own a 50% stake in the new company, which will also produce Dongfeng buses, trucks and commercial vehicles in addition to Nissan's full lineup. Together in a joint venture, Dongfeng and Nissan intend to become the first Sino-Japanese company to produce a range of trucks, commercial and passenger vehicles. Dann in den 80ern. Nissan hat zwei strategische Produktionsstandorte im Ausland gegründet: 1980 die Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corp., USA in den USA und 1984 die Nissan Motor Manufacturing (UK) Limited in Großbritannien. Der erste Datsun-Pickup lief im Juni 1983 bei Nissan Motor Manufacturing Corp., USA, vom Band, der erste Sentra (Sunny) im März 1985.
